VinUniversity and University of California, San Diego to work on the Integrated 3+2 Bachelor’s – Master’s program

College of Engineering and Computer Science, VinUniversity (VinUni -Vietnam) and the Jacobs School of Engineering, University of California San Diego (UC San Diego – USA) have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which includes collaboration on an integrated Bachelor’s – Master’s training program.

Via this training module, students of the College of Engineering and Computer Science at VinUni have a chance to join the dual degree program in which they can study their first three years at VinUni and then, if independently accepted to the program of choice at UC San Diego, two years at the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering. After five years of training, students will graduate with a Bachelor’s degree awarded by VinUni and a Master’s degree awarded by UC San Diego.

In addition, collaboration between VinUni and UC San Diego opens up opportunities for bilateral cooperation in different areas such as student and faculty exchange, summer programs, cohort concurrent enrollment programs, research internships, and virtual classroom and laboratory programs. With these arrangements, VinUniversity expects to offer new opportunities for its students and faculty to study and research in world-class environments, enabling students to create meaningful change for the betterment of people around the world.

The University of California San Diego currently ranks 33rd globally by Times Higher Education in 2021, 15th among world-class research institutes by Nature Index in 2020 and among the top 30 universities with the most Nobel laureates. The University is one of the most dream-worthy destinations in the world for students who are passionate about research and on the quest for an excellent education.
