Prospective Undergraduates
To further support the mission of nurturing talent, Vingroup, the Founder of VinUniversity, has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to sustaining the University’s Scholarship Fund for future generations of VinUniversity students.
Tuition Subsidy
From 2025 to 2030, all students enrolling at VinUniversity will be granted a 35% tuition subsidy, applied for the full duration of their studies.
Merit-based Scholarships
Awarded to applicants with outstanding academic performance and strong personal qualities — those who demonstrate aspiration and ambition, creative thinking, and a proactive, resilient spirit who never give up on their dreams. The scholarship value ranges from 50% to 100% of tuition fees.
- President’s Excellence Scholarship: Full-ride scholarship (Covers 100% of tuition and living expenses).
- Provost’s Merit Scholarship: Covers 100% of tuition.
- Dean’s Distinction Scholarship: Covers 80% or 90% of tuition.
- Discipline’s Honor Scholarship: Covers 50%, 60%, or 70% of tuition.
(*) Merit-Based Scholarships already include the 35% tuition subsidy.
Special Encouragement Scholarships (*Stackable)
- Special Academic Scholarship: Offers a 5% tuition waiver for selected academic disciplines, as designated for each academic year.
- WIT (Woman in Tech) Scholarship: Provides an additional 5% tuition support for female applicants pursuing studies in technology or science-related fields.
- Vinschool-VinUni Scholarship: Covers a 5% tuition waiver for Vinschool graduates who are admitted to VinUniversity.
- Vingroup Family Scholarship: Available for children of Vingroup employees and executives, as part of the Group’s commitment to fostering talent within its community.
Special Sponsor Scholarships from Private Fund
This program is designed for outstanding applicants who have earned a Merit-based Scholarship of 80% or higher but face financial barriers in pursuing their dream of studying at VinUniversity. These scholarships (an additional 10% tuition support) are generously supported by dedicated donors and awarded based on the specific criteria of each fund.
- Dean Choi Grant by Soosan (10% of tuition fee): Sponsored by Soosan Group and is awarded to outstanding students from the College of Business & Management (CBM) and the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS). - Future Leader Grant: For those outstanding students who are offered 80 – 90% scholarship but the remaining 10% – 20% of tuition remains an obstacle, this grant removes this last barrier, opening the door for deserving young people to study at VinUniversity. ℹ️ Important Note:
- Applicants who meet the admission criteria but face financial difficulties, in addition to receiving the above scholarships, may apply for Financial Aid. Financial support can cover up to 100% of tuition fees.
- The scholarship amount awarded is based on the evaluation results according to the criteria set by the Admissions Council.
- The scholarship applies for the entire duration of study and is subject to meeting the minimum scholarship maintenance conditions set by the university. Please refer to the Detailed Regulations [HERE]. We believe that these minimum maintenance conditions will help students maintain their academic performance, extracurricular development, and live up to the decision made by the Admissions Council in awarding the Merit-based Scholarship.
