[Mini – Contest] Beauty of Traditional Craft Villages

May 27, 2021

Statistics indicate that Vietnam has almost 2,000 craft villages of such main groups of craftsmanship such as: lacquer, ceramics & pottery, gold and silver smithing, lace embroidery, weaving of bamboo, rattan and papyrus, textile weaving, papermaking, folk paintings, wood and stone arts… Products of these craft villages can tell priceless stories about the national culture ‘s uniqueness through drawings, patterns, and the sophisticated ways the products are made. Besides, traditional craft villages are valuable resources for both the tourism industry and for the local economy.

In order to preserve and spread the appreciation for the unique beauty of craft villages and their products, the Young Change Makers project of VinUniversity has launched a painting mini-contest with the theme of “Spreading the beauty of traditional products/craft villages”.
