The Signing Ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding between VinUniversity and EY Consulting Vietnam

On 20th November 2020, VinUni and Ernest & Young signed a cooperation agreement regarding student opportunities. EY is one of the Big 4 global auditing firms, alongside Deloitte, KPMG and PwC; it is also a top world-class consulting firms, next to Bain, McKinsey, and BCG.  This event took place in an open and friendly atmosphere between EY Vietnam’s leaders and VinUni leaders, witnessed by VinUni faculty and students.Dr Phan Dang Chuong – Deputy General Director, Consulting Service Leader, revealed his favourite thing at EY – it was its mission: Building a better working world.

Mr Nguyen Minh Duc – Deputy General Director, Consulting Service shared with the students: to change the world, we need to start changing the little things. Big changes can start with something small. Discover how we’re building a better working world by asking better questions.

VinUni faculty and students responded enthusiastically. They posed many exciting questions to EY, such as:

  • Why did EY change the slogan from “Quality in Everything We Do” to “Building a better working world”?
  • What makes EY’s employees so engaged and loyal? Have they ever thought of switching jobs?
  • Can students, who didn’t study Accounting, secure an internship at EY?
  • Why does EY need so many computer engineers with expertise in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence?
  • Can the first-year students go for an internship yet? Or they have to wait until the third year like other schools?
  • What lessons can EY experts share with students?

Dr Phan Dang Chuong – Deputy General Director, Consulting Service Leader, shares his insights with VinUni students and faculty

EY now has 270,000 employees in over 700 offices in more than 150 countries around the world, primarily provides assurance (which includes financial audit), tax, consulting and advisory services to its clients

Great questions open up great solutions. With this collaborative foundation, VinUni leaders believe more students will be confident of proving their competencies in leading companies like EY.
