3 professors from VinUniversity and 18 other professors on the VinUniversity Academic Advisory Board, Science Advisory Board and Scholarship Interview Board are among the top 2% most cited researchers worldwide – according to the latest publication of PLOS Biology Journal (USA) in 2020. Being in the top 2% of the world’s most cited scholars demonstrates the professors’ profound influence in scientific research. It is one of the most important criteria to assess the quality in higher education.
According to this ranking, Prof. Do Ngoc Minh, VinUniversity Vice-Provost is in the top 0.13% world’s most referenced researchers in the field of AI and Image Processing. Prof. Maurizio Trevisan, VinUniversity Dean of College of Health Sciences, is in the top 1.65% of Epidemiology. Prof. Rohit Verma, VinUniversity Provost is in the top 2% of the world with outstanding contributions in Business and Management research.
In order to obtain this statistics, Professor John P.A. Ioannidis from Stanford University (USA) and his group of researchers used Scopus data of nearly 7 million scientists worldwide from 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields.
