
According to Decision No. 995/QĐ-BGDĐT dated April 23, 2026, issued by the Minister of Education and Training, the Master of Science in Computer Science program at VinUniversity has been officially approved for inclusion in the list of elite engineering and master’s programs in STEM fields participating in the Project on “Training Human Resources for High-Tech Development for the period 2025–2035, with a vision to 2045,” under Decision No. 1002/QĐ-TTg issued by the Prime Minister.
Within the framework of the Project, selected programs are required to meet a rigorous set of standards established by the Ministry of Education and Training. These include compliance with national standards for talent-oriented STEM programs; ensuring adequate conditions in terms of faculty, facilities, learning resources, and quality assurance systems; as well as undergoing formal accreditation processes. In addition, institutions are required to ensure transparency in quality assurance conditions and uphold accountability for training outcomes and graduate competencies.
The inclusion of VinUniversity’s program in this list reflects the Ministry’s recognition of the University’s academic and research orientation in the fields of computer science and information technology. It also affirms VinUniversity’s commitment to developing high-quality human resources capable of meeting the demands of key high-tech industries in the context of digital transformation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The Master of Science in Computer Science program at VinUniversity is research-oriented, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary research in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Intelligent Systems, and advanced digital technologies. Through an integrated research-based training model, students are directly engaged in interdisciplinary research projects under the supervision of internationally recognized faculty, thereby developing independent research capabilities and advanced problem-solving skills for real-world challenges.
