VinUni’s VinHeritage Metaverse Museum won two prestigious awards: QS Reimagine Education Award 2023 and Vietnam Digital Content Creation Awards 2023

Recently, the VinHeritage Metaverse Museum, a product created by VinUni students and library staff, was awarded the Bronze Prize in the “Immersive Experiential Learning” category in the QS Reimagine Education Award 2023. This virtual museum also received the “Outstanding Digital Content Product in the Education Sector” Award in the Vietnam Digital Content Creation Awards 2023.
VinHeritage Metaverse Museum won two prestigious awards.
VinHeritage is the world’s first metaverse museum with a focus on the culture and heritage of Vietnam. This museum includes valuable information about ethnic minorities nationwide from VinUni’s “Smart Environment” research project and outstanding works introducing Vietnam by Vinpearl Joint Stock Company. Not only does this museum provide a unique experience of Vietnamese culture and heritage, VinHeritage also aims to create a new and user-friendly educational tool to convey knowledge and inspiration, thereby honouring the beauty and longstanding traditions of Vietnam.
To build this digital museum, the VinUni team utilized metaverse technology, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), 3D modelling techniques combined with artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver the most authentic and diverse experience for users, promoting cultural intersectionality while enhancing language skills.

About QS Reimagine Education Award 2023: Known as the “Oscar” of the education sector, the QS Reimagine Education Awards is a prestigious global annual award for educational innovation, professionally endorsed by the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (USA). This award is part of the annual Global Education Innovation Conference, bringing together hundreds of education leaders worldwide, including university leaders, educators, innovators, investors, startup businesses, recruiters, with a pioneering vision in educational innovation.
About Vietnam Digital Content Creation Awards 2023: This year is the first time the VCA 2023 has been organized to honour institutions and individuals with outstanding digital content products that bring about positive impact to community. This award is hosted by the Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VCA) and operated by the Vietnam Digital Content Creation Alliance (DCCA).
