VBCC’21 – “A LEARNING JOURNEY FULL OF WONDERFUL EXPERIENCES”

The first season of Vietnam Business Case Competition (VBCC 2021) has officially ended with an award ceremony held at VinUniversity for the top 11 teams. For its participants, VBCC 2021 was not only a competition, but also a journey full of wonderful experiences.

VBCC 2021 can be considered the most monumental season, as it is the first case competition held worldwide, co-organized by VinUniversity, Cornell University, and Vincom Retail. On the theme of ‘Rejuvenate the Future of Retail Experience’, teams made big impressions with their innovative solutions and immense potential as young Vietnamese entrepreneurs.

The Judging Panel consists of Professors from Cornell University and experienced leaders from top companies such as Vincom Retail, Deloitte Vietnam and One Mount Group.

The CCBV team excellent received the competition’s highest prize with their customer-centric strategy, called “Sun sets to rise”, along with solutions that revolutionize customers’ digital experience and transform shopping malls. Vincom Megamall Royal City will become a destination not only for shopping and entertainment, but also for art. The winning team will have the opportunity to work with Vincom Retail and implement their proposed solution.

Congratulations to the teams that have made their mark at VBCC’s first season:
– First prize – Team ‘CCBV’, who received a prize of 15 million VND, 1 Vincom Retail voucher worth 35 million VND, and a 3-day-2-night stay at Vinpearl
– Second prize – Team ‘Big4 C‘, who received a prize of 10 million VND, 1 Vincom Retail voucher worth 20 million VND, and a 2-day-1-night stay at Vinpearl
– Third Prize – Team ‘Còn Ngon’, who received a prize of 3 million VND and 1 Vincom Retail voucher worth 10 million VND
– Merit Award – Teams ‘HTML’, ‘Hunt’, ‘Athena’, who each received a prize of 1.5 million VND and 1 Vincom Retail voucher worth 3.5 million VND
– Other 5 teams in the Top 10: Ichatu, Butter, NUNI, Dtips, WinX

VBCC is a competition co-organized by VinUniversity, Cornell University and Vincom Retail – developer, operator and manager of world-class mall platforms in Vietnam. With the theme “Rejuvenate the Future of Retail Experience”, the competition aims to identify and nurture young Vietnamese business talents. Students will be tasked to solve real-world problems that Vincom Retail are facing. The winning team has the chance to partner with Vincom Retail and implement their proposed solution, as well as the chance to win prizes worth a total of 50 million VND.
