The Vietnam Industry Innovation Index project launched by VinUni-Oxford Research Team
On December 21, VinUniversity signed a cooperation agreement on promoting industry innovation with the State Agency for Technology Innovation, Ministry of Science and Technology.

After the Signing Ceremony, the two parties launched a project to develop Vietnam Industry Innovation Index (VIII). Professor Soumitra Dutta (Dean of Saïd Business School, Oxford University, President of Portulans Institute, creator of the Global Innovation Index) will become the Scientific Director for this project. Professor Dutta will support VinUni’s research team in building a set of industry innovation capacity indexes in Vietnam. In addition, Professor Soumitra will provide strategic direction and share global trends and innovation models in typical industries, fields and countries to our team.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Minh – Deputy Minister of Science and Technology shared: “Innovation is considered a bridge between scientific research, technological development and socio-economic development. The Ministry of Science and Technology, through the State Agency for Technology Innovation, will provide methodology endorsement and support for VinUni’s research and training activities so that results from this research can serve policy making and contribute to socio-economic development”.
