Internship Program at FPT Telecom Designed for VinUniversity Students
According to the collaboration agreement between VinUniversity and FPT Telecom – a member company of Vietnam’s technology group FPT, students of VinUniversity’s College of Engineering & Computer Sciences (CECS) will have the opportunity to intern at FPT Telecom for a term (16 consecutive weeks) or 2 summer breaks full-time (16 weeks) or intern part-time (640 hours). The Professional Structured Internship is a compulsory course for second-year CECS students.
Additionally, the collaboration also provides opportunities for students of VinUniversity’s College of Business & Management as well as the College of Engineering & Computer Science to participate in various other short-term internships and learn from senior executives of FPT Telecom, such as:
- 5-in-5 Internship on every Friday for 5 consecutive weeks throughout the term.
- Summer internship, which lasts at least 8 weeks.
- Guest lecturers and Industry Speakers series
- Mentorship program
- Company visits
FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company (FPT Telecom) has been one of the leading telecommunications and Internet service providers in the region. Established on January 31, 1997, FPT Telecom originated from the FPT Online Exchange (FOX), founded by four members with its fist Intranet network in Vietnam called “Tri tue Vietnam” (‘Vietnamese Intellectual), which is considered to be the foundation for the development of the Internet in Vietnam.
On April 23rd, FPT Telecom was 1 of more than 30 notable enterprises to partake in VinUniversity’s first Career Day. By participating in the event, students will be able to meet and talk to representatives of businesses, learn about the industry, as well as explore future career opportunities.

In order to offer internship, research, and consulting opportunities for its students, VinUniversity built a foundation of cooperation with leading domestic and foreign enterprises including businesses in the Vingroup ecosystem, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, BCG, Dragon Capital, Shangri-La Group, start-up companies, and NGOs.
