Project Information
Water quality is a decisive factor in the success of aquaculture, yet traditional monitoring methods remain limited in terms of accuracy and timeliness. To address this challenge, under the leadership of Dr. Mai Thanh Thai, VinUni collaborates with CSIRO (Australia) and the National Center for Water Resources Planning and Investigation (NAWAPI, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) to implement the project “Knowledge-informed AI Forecasting for Water Quality in Vietnam’s Sustainable Aquaculture – AquaWatch Australia (Vietnam Pilot)”.
The project focuses on building an intelligent early-warning system that integrates AI, remote sensing data, low-cost sensor networks, and hybrid modeling (physics – data) to enhance aquaculture sustainability in Vietnam.
