RESIDENCY RECRUITMENT TIMELINE 2026–2027
- March 1 – May 31: Online application period (Deadline: 23:59, May 31, 2026). Apply at: https://vinuni.my.site.com/gme
- July 18 (Tentative):
IFOM Clinical Sciences Examination (administered in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City). - Late July (Tentative): Registration for Interview.
- Early August (Tentative): Virtual Interview with Program Leadership and Faculty (For candidates who successfully pass Rounds 1 & 2).
- Mid-August (Tentative): Announcement of Admission Results and Specialty Match.
- September 29 (Tentative): Commencement of Residency Training.
I. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Target Applicants:
Medical students graduating in 2026.
Academic Requirements:
Cumulative GPA of at least 7.0/10.0 or 2.8/4.0.
Application Portfolio:
One (1) Letter of Recommendation and three (3) short essays.
English Proficiency:
No standardized international English certificate is required. Language proficiency will be evaluated through written application materials and performance during the interview.

II. APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Candidates are required to create an account and submit their application online at:

Required Application Components:
- Personal Information:
Portrait photo, identification documents, and contact details. - Academic Records:
Official transcripts, MD degree certificate, and supporting documents (e.g., research publications, English proficiency certificates, etc.). - Scholarship Essays:
Completion of three essays (approximately 250 words each) based on the prompts provided in the online system. - Letter of Recommendation:
One (1) letter from a faculty member or a practicing physician affiliated with a hospital. - Additional Supporting Documents (Optional):
Portfolio, slides demonstrating extracurricular activities, or other evidence of academic and professional achievements.
